Two critically acclaimed authors will make appearances as part of Toledo Lucas County Public Library’s Authors! series on Thursday and June 24, the library announced.

Award-winning war reporter Sebastian Junger and CBS Sunday Morning correspondent Mo Rocca will speak about their respective books in separate lectures.

Mr. Junger, author of In My Time of Dying, will be discussing a near-death experience he had in 2020 and how it led to his personal beliefs being challenged at the Main Library from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Rocca, author of Roctogenarians, will educate listeners about people who continued to make differences in their communities into their later years like Mary Church Terrell, who led sit-ins at segregated Washington lunch counters in the 1950s at 86, and Carol Channing, who married the love of her life at 82. Mr. Rocca’s speech is at Glass City Center from 7 to 8 p.m. June 24.
